Golden Mirror

For Golden Mirror, produced in 2021 by the Ateliers, a vibrant golden proprietary colour was developed to match the final project. It has the rare characteristic of magnifying the technique of architectural marquetry, shaped to evoke several suns responding to each other. Here we can easily see the colour constraints linked to the project's relief, but also the imaginative and artistic approach by Ateliers Berger, using the symbolism of gold in reference to the solar star.

 The play of light based on the movement and perception of the person observing the work combines with the texture of the marquetry orchestrated in different movements to modify the perception of the vertical surface, allowing or preventing contrasts and resonances, all of which had to be mastered in order to achieve perfection. The result is an elegant work that brings to light the Ateliers’s expertise.
